The «real» Stratotanker was a Boeing 707 Version

ILLINOIS AIR NATIONAL GUARD
Made up entirely of volunteers, these man gather together one week-end each month to play their part as citizen airmen. They com from all walks of life, school teachers, airline pilots, computer programmers and salesmen. They play throughout the world representing the Air National Guard, lifting the morals of all those within sight or sound. They have played for Presidents, Kings, Queens, Governors, and millions of people throughout the years. In the background is pictured an Illinois Air National Guard KC-97 tanker aircraft that serves a world wide refueling mission.

KC-97 is tanker version of the C-97 and was introduced in 1950. Replace by all jet KC-135 tanker after 1956. Some KC-97s like that displayed at USAF Museum, W-PAFB, Ohio had jet engines added for increased speed and altitude for continued service with USAF Reserve and ANG.
